$95,000 - $110,000 + benefits

I am currently working with one of the world's most utilized online marketplace's, operating in over 200 countries, with over 150 diverse categories. They are looking for an experienced Marketing Performance Analyst, with experience delivering insights and recommendations on the analysis to a wide variety of stakeholders to join their team in the heart of New York City. This would be an ideal role for someone with extensive knowledge of the online marketplace, transactional behaviors, and the ability to work in a start-up like environment.

THE ROLE - Marketing Performance Analyst:

As a Marketing Performance Analyst, you will be analyzing data from multiple streams using SQL, Python or R, including product categories, campaign and advertising performance, delivering insights and recommendations to a wide variety of teams on how they should drive innovation, and increase ROI and new customer acquisition. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and automating all the data coming through different channels of engagement, to ensure it is accurate, in the right format and accessible for a variety of teams including engineering, product, creative and wider marketing teams
  • Building reports and manipulating the data using SQL, Python and R to understand how different categories and products on the marketplace perform, taking into consideration pricing, promotions, customer experience, satisfaction and loyalty etc
  • Taking a proactive approach to understanding the wider market, competitor trends, and delivering insights and recommendations to the wider business that will drive category growth as well as increase new customer acquisition, and existing customer loyalty
  • Applying innovative approaches to understanding how consumers interact with different product categories to optimize engagement and ROI


  • Proven experience working within a product or marketing performance analytics environment, preferably with knowledge of the online marketplace
  • Strong analytical background in SQL, Python, R or similar with the ability to write your own code and manipulate large data sets.
  • The ability to utilize insights that increase efficiency in pricing/product/category assortment and increase customer engagement, delivering recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work in a fluid and ever-changing environment


As a Marketing Performance Analyst, you can expect to earn up to $110,000 (depending on experience) plus great benefits.
