The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Field Engineering team based in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled Field Technician to support our Joint Threat Emitter (JTE) Electronic Warfare product line at customer locations. The Field Technician installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time. Installs an upgrades products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel. The successful candidate will have a background in the operation and maintenance of RADAR, or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, or commercial digital and RF equipment, or other electronics background, and will have experience testing, troubleshooting, and performing repairs with minimal supervision. Knowledge in the proper usage of RF/Digital test equipment such as a multi-meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and power meter is desired. Basic Qualifications for a Field Technician 3: * 4 years of relevant experience; or an Associate''''s degree in a technical field plus 2 years of relevant experience . * Ability to travel domestically and internationally . * Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50 lbs. * Current, active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance * Ability to travel (up to 5 0%) . Preferred Qualifications for this position : * Previous JTE experience and/or previous military background * Associate''''s degree in a technical field and related experience . * U.S. military electronic school in E lectronic W arfare or RF Systems . * Experience with RADAR, Electronic Warfare systems, RF Engineering, or other electronics background that includes experience testing, troubleshooting, and performing repairs. Salary Range: $56,000 USD - $93,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
