Information System Security Officer (ISSO) With Security Clearance

Description:This position requires a DoD Secret clearance prior to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. The ideal candidate will perform duties as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) located at the Lockheed Martin Space -Huntsville Facility in Huntsville, AL. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Oversee day-to-day information system security operations including auditing the IS, hardware and software implementations, and RMF package authorizations.
• Carry out technical administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
• Document compliance actions with the ISSM to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
• Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices.
• Participate in internal/external security audits/inspections; performs risk assessments.
• Ensure records are maintained for workstations, software, servers, routers, firewalls, network switches, telephony equipment, etc. throughout the information system''''s life cycle.
• Evaluate proposed changes or additions to the information system, and advise the ISSM of their security relevance.
• Ensure configuration management (CM) and IS security documentation for security-relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented.
• Assist in conducting investigations of computer security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary.
• Ensure proper protection and / or corrective measures have been taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered.
• Communicate, implement and manage a formal Information Security Policies / Information Systems Security Program together with ISSM and CPSO.
Basic Qualifications:
• DoD Secret clearance prior to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher
• Experience with IS auditing and investigations
• Knowledgeable of operating system security requirements
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard Information Assurance tools
Desired Skills:
• Windows client/server background and some UNIX/LINUX technical experience
• Overall knowledge of Information Systems Security and ISSO duties
• Working knowledge of system administration and network administration
• Working knowledge of classified defense contracts
• Knowledge of SPLUNK, Lansweeper, and Nessus, HBSS, ACAS etc
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master''''s degree
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
