Position Description Logistic Management Specialists are responsible for directing, developing, implementing and functioning as part of a logistics management operation for a department involved in providing logistical support to a specific mission, weapons system or other designated program. Logistics management encompasses logistic and maintenance planning from the concept development phases of the life cycle. The integration and management of maintenance/logistics support elements throughout the life cycle. The projection and adjustment of logistics requirements during the operational phases of the life cycle through to retirement. The planning and implementation status of modification programs and the management of various logistics programs during the life cycle.
