Job Description
Description:This position is for a Senior Manufacturing Support Team Member to build aerospace hardware for multiple spaceflight programs. The candidate should have the ability to work well as a team member, manage and build relationships, follow verbal/written instructions, work with a safety conscious behavior and provide support for Stennis Space Flight Center. They will be expected to prioritize their workload in order to meet deliverable timelines and utilize problem solving techniques to solve machining and process related problems. The chosen candidate will need to exhibit the following traits:
• Ability to work independently and as a group with little guidance.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Ability to interpret drawings, Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and transpose those requirements into programming for CNC Machines.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a variety of machinist skills to support multiple aerospace programs. The candidate must possess at least ten years of machinist/programmer experience and host a minimum of 3 -5 of the following skills below:
• Experience in programming and set-up of CNC Machines.
• Experience programming with G-code
• Experience operating manual/automated lathes, horizontal turning and Bridgeport mills
• Experience with 3, 4, 5 axis machine set-up and operations
• Experience with modeling/drafting
• Experience Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Desired Skills:
Experience with development programs and/or conceptual designs
Experience in creating labor and materials estimates for new work
Experience utilizing general shop equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, torque wrenches, etc.
Knowledge of production control system(s) to track product workflow
Experience working with Government customers
Bachelor''''s degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
