Position Title: Russian Linguist
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia at the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC)
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI Security Clearance Status: FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE SE2S is seeking a Russian Linguist to support the technical exploitation of foreign systems and subcomponents for current and future technology at the National Ground Intelligence Center in Charlottesville, VA. The candidate will assess scientific and technical capabilities, forecast and predict future capabilities and battlefield effectiveness, and create of high-fidelity models and simulations of systems. The candidate will translate technical documents including journal articles, patent applications, scientific papers. Triage identified documents in consultation with the Advanced Conventional Weapons Division and translate selected documents. They should be prepared to conduct open-source research to identify, triage, and translate technical documents under the guidance of the Advanced Conventional Weapons Division. Job responsibilities include:
• Possess sufficient proficiency in Russian to translate professional and technical writing and journeyman level OSINT/MA research skills to conduct open-source research in Russian.
• Accurately translate technical documents, to include journal articles, patent applications, scientific papers – from Russian.
• Conduct open-source (OSINT) research to identify, triage, and translate technical documents.
• An undergraduate or equivalent background in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering, STEM from an accredited institution is desired. Education/Experience requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years in reading and language comprehension
• TS/SCI Security Clearance
• An undergraduate or equivalent background in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering is desired.
• Minimum of 2/2 on the DLPT.
