SQL Server DBA With Security Clearance

Axis Technologies of Plano, TX is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to join our Client Consulting Team. Our Client is a major Aerospace Firm located in Fort Worth, TX. This is an extended duration contract role with our company (at least one year). Excellent opportunity to be on the leading edge with this role in A&D. Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in the Database Administration of Microsoft SQL Server versions 2012 and later, including SQL Server 2019.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- Demonstrated experience in use of:
- Microsoft SQL Server tools to manage multiple database environments spanning multiple physical servers
- Windows operating system
- SQL Server backups and restores
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with end user community
- Proven ability to effectively test and document work
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a technical virtual team
- Proven ability to work independently and meet challenges of all levels of complexity
- Ability to support flexible work schedules to include off hours, weekend work, and on-call support rotation
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with the use of Sentry Performance Tuning database administration tool, or related experience with SQL Server performance analysis and tuning
- Demonstrated experience with managing large complex SQL Server Database (DB) systems
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Server High Availability solutions
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and resolving Microsoft SQL Server database performance issues.
- Demonstrated project planning and scheduling experience
- Demonstrated experience with Database Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
- Demonstrated experience with PowerShell scripting
- Demonstrated experience with Ansible Tower
- Demonstrated experience with Gitlab
- Demonstrated experience with building DB automation tools and solutions
- Demonstrated experience with AWS DB solutions
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Server Integration Services
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
- Demonstrated experience defining and supporting SQL Server Cloud-based solutions
- Expertise with Linux
